About Kashgar

Kashgar sits at the western edge of China’s Xinjiang region.

The city’s Old Town features narrow alleys lined with mud-brick houses and lively bazaars. Seasonal changes bring distinct scenes: the Sunday Market buzzes with traders in spring and summer, while winter brings quieter streets and snow-capped views of the nearby Pamir Mountains.
